$1,200 covers instruction and getting you from 0→1 — a working first version, deployed and live. Going from 1→1+ happens in the alumni community and through optional follow-on work with Jonathan.

Yes. We review every application to make sure we can deliver real value for your specific project. You’ll hear back within 48 hours. If it’s a fit, you’ll get a payment link — you don’t pay until you’re accepted.
Yes. You’ll need an API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar. Model usage during the workshop is billed by those providers directly to you — typically around $5–$20 for the day depending on how much we build. The $1,200 workshop fee covers instruction only, not API usage.
Cursor, Python 3.10+, Homebrew (Mac) or equivalent on Windows, Node.js v20+, a GitHub account, and a Vercel account (free tier is fine). We send a detailed setup guide when your application is accepted.
A charged laptop (Mac or Windows), your scoped project idea, and any API accounts you’ve set up. You’re responsible for your own machine and for AI model costs; we provide the instruction, venue, lunch, and deployment walkthrough.
You join the alumni Slack community. The workshop gets you from 0 to 1 — a working version, deployed and live. The community and optional 1:1 consulting with Jonathan help you go from 1 to 1+.
No. The entire workshop uses AI-assisted development tools like Cursor. You’ll be guided step-by-step. If you can use a web browser and type, you can build with AI.
Anything with a clear use case: an AI chatbot for customer service, an internal tool that automates a workflow, a product recommendation engine, a content generator — if you can describe the problem, we can prototype the solution.
It will be a working first version deployed to a real domain. Production-ready depends on your use case, but you’ll leave with something you can show customers and test with real users immediately.
Full refund up to 7 days before the workshop. Within 7 days, we’ll credit you toward a future session. No refunds on the day of — but we’ve never had someone want one.
We rotate between co-working spaces in Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, and Hermosa Beach. The exact venue is confirmed and sent to registered attendees one week before the session.
